Steve has regular one-to-one meetings called 'Task Board Review' with each of the staff he manages. This meeting discussed the tasks to pinpoint which jobs on their task board need prioritising.
Lost or under prioritised tasks can be rescued in this manner, and the staff members' focus can be standardised with others through Steve's overview of the whole business.
With comprehensive monthly meetings such as the 'Task Board Review', the staff can also be offered a degree of autonomy with minimum intervention. Yet still be kept on an even keel, heading in the same direction as the rest of the business.
