Create a staff policy to ensure all communication regarding a specific task should be done in the comment section of the task itself within the Task Manager. This way, you will avoid conversing about that task over different messaging apps.
The advantages of this centralised approach are avoiding long searches through multiple messaging apps for data regarding the task and future access to a comprehensive audit trail regarding the task for problem-solving.
Instant Messaging Apps can still be utilised to inform your staff that a new comment has been added or an update has been made on the task. This is done by getting the task link and sending it through an Instant Messaging App.
Traditional communication methods contain distractions. You avoid this with the specific nature of Task Managers.
Slack is a communication app designed for businesses with specific organised spaces for people to discuss work without distraction or disruption. It allows for easy cross-departmental communication regarding a project and includes comprehensive integration with other apps and software to centralise tasks and discussions.
